al-Suluk li-Ma'rifat Duwal al-Muluk

One of al-Maqrīzī's most important works and a landmark source for the history of medieval Egypt, this book completes the author's series of Egyptian historical chronicles by bringing together the fullest account he could compile of the Ayyubid and Mamluk periods, covering the years 577 AH until the year before his death in 845 AH.

In preparing this work, al-Maqrīzī drew extensively upon earlier historical sources, carefully identifying and citing the authorities from which he transmitted.

This is a critically edited edition, supplemented with a separate volume containing comprehensive scholarly indexes to the entire work.

هو كتاب من أهم كتب المقريزي، ومن أبرز كتب التاريخ المصري الوسيط، أتم به مصنفه سلسلة التواريخ المصرية بجمع وتسجيل أوسع ما وجد من المعلومات حول عصري الدولتين الأيوبية والمملوكية من سنة 577 هجرية إلى السنة التي سبقت وفاته سنة 845 هجرية وقد اعتمد فيه عددا من المصادر السابقة، وقد ذكر المصادر التي نقل عنها وأشار إليها وهذه نسخة محققة، وقد أفردنا في آخرها مجلدا خاصا بالفهارس العلمية العامة للكتاب
