فقه الميزان معياراً لفهم القرآن والسنة

Fiqh al-Mizan Mi'yaran li Fahm al-Quran wa al-Sunnah

I derived this from the Noble Qur’an while living with the concerns of the Ummah: its severe division, its dangerous backwardness, its debilitating weakness, its humiliating poverty despite tremendous waste, its abandonment of that wherein lies its healing, and its neglect of the treatment wherein lies its cure.

After reflection and contemplation, I found that the imbalance has lain in the scales of the Ummah for several centuries, and in its failure to rely upon the two pans of the scale of istikhlāf—vicegerency—which is the highest and greatest purpose behind the creation of man. These two pans are: sound religious commitment, with its two dimensions, outward and inward; and the comprehensive development and cultivation (ʿumrān) of the universe and mankind—that is, the cultivation of this world and the Hereafter. These, in turn, rest upon the two scales of revelation and reason, for through them religious commitment, development, progress, and happiness are realised.

This book is therefore a serious attempt to restore the Ummah to these balances, in fulfilment of the guiding principle: “Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter,” and “so that you may reflect upon this world and the Hereafter”; and to restore due consideration and balance to reason alongside revelation: “If only we had listened or reasoned.”

استنبطته من القرآن الكريم، وأنا أعايش هموم الأمة: تفرقَها الشديد، تخلّفها الخطير، ضعفَها القاتل، فقرها المهين مع الهدر الكبير، هجرَها لما فيه شفاؤها، تركها العلاجَ لما فيه دواؤها.فوجدتُ بعد التدبر والتذكر أن الخلل في موازين الأمة منذ عدة قرون، وفي عدم الاعتماد على كفتي ميزان الاستخلاف الذي هو المقصدُ الأسمى والأعظم في خلق الإنسان، وهما: كفة التدّين الصحيح بجناحيه الظاهر والباطن، وكفة العمران الشامل للكون والإنسان، (أي عمران الدنيا والآخرة). القائمين على كفتي الوحي، والعقل، إذ بهما يتحقق التدين والعمران والتقدم والسعادة.فهذا الكتاب محاولة جادة لإعادة الأمة إلى هذه الموازين، لتحقيق شعار (رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً) و(لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ) ولإعادة الاعتبار والتوازن للعقل مع الوحي . (لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ).
