al-Tahrif al-Mu'asir fi al-Din

This book exposes, through logical and scholarly analysis, the distortions and intellectual misrepresentation employed in interpreting the texts of the Qur'an and the Sunnah under what is termed a "contemporary reading" of them.

It argues that such readings aim to demolish all Islamic principles and concepts—their roots, foundations, and branches—and to ascribe to them alternative meanings fashioned within the framework of Marxist thought, using methods reminiscent of esoteric interpretation, linguistic manipulation, and the illusion that the Arabic language permits such reinterpretations.

This book traces in particular the outrageous falsehoods and statements of disbelief contained in the work of the civil engineer Dr. Muḥammad Shaḥrūr.

يكشف هذا الكتاب بالتحليل العلمي المنطقي التضليل الفكري التحريفي المعتمد في نصوص القرآن والسنة، فيما يسمى "بقراءة معاصرة لهما" هادفة إلى نسف كل المبادئ والمفهومات الإسلامية: جذورها وأصولها وفروعها، وادعاء معاني أخرى لها، مصنعة ضمن قوالب الفكر الماركسي، على طرائق التأويلات الباطنية وحيل التلاعب بالألفاظ والإيهام بأن اللغة تساعد على ذلك. وهذا الكتاب يتتبع على وجه الخصوص الأباطيل الشنيعة والكفريات التي اشتمل عليها كتاب المهندس المدني د.محمد شحرور
