السلامة في الدين بترك الطمع في المخلوقين

al-Salamah fi al-Din bi-Tark al-Tama' fi al-Makhluqin

Amongst the illnesses that we ulama suffer from is expecting and desiring wealth from people. The title of this book is taken from an incident narrated by Ibn Ata Allah from his Ustad, the great sufi, Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi wherein he purchased an item from someone who knew him, then the thought passed his mind that maybe this person will not charge me for this. He immediately heard a voice from the unseen addressing him saying:
السلامة في الدين بترك الطمع في المخلوقين
 
This book is filled with anecdotes from the lives of the pious and touching words of wisdom, that could inspire us to turn our gaze from makhluq to al-Khaliq.

كتاب في الزهد والرقائق تناول فيه المؤلف آفة اجتماعية تهدد المجتمع الإسلامي وهي ظاهرة الطمع التي انتشرت في المجتمع وكانت أثارها سلبية جداً كغلاء الأسعار والتناحر بين التجار وأصحاب الأموال وعدم الرضا والقناعة وغير ذلك
