Sharh al-Fiqh al-Akbar li-al-Bukhari

This commentary was among the earliest and oldest commentaries on Al-Fiqh al-Akbar. It was one of the lost commentaries, lying dormant upon the shelves of libraries. We have now removed from it the dust of time and brought it forth from the world of manuscripts into the world of print, in a splendid new form, critically edited on the basis of the only two extant manuscript copies.

The edition is further embellished with annotations, biographical notices, and a valuable study, together with scholarly documentation of both the commentary and the original text. This commentary contains valuable critical investigations and annotations, supplementary observations and important notes, interpretations and objections, as well as numerous benefits indispensable to students of knowledge in madrasahs throughout the Islamic world.

وقد كان من هذا الشرح من أول وأقدم الشروح على الفقه الأكبر ومن جملة الشُّروح المفقودة، وعلى رفوف المكتباتِ مرقودة، فأزلنا عنه غُبارَ الزمان، وأخرجناه من عالم المخطوط إلى عالم المطبوع؛ بحُلَّة قشيبة؛ محققاً عن أصلين خطيين وحيدين، مُوشى بتعليقات وتراجم ودراسة نفيسة مع التوثيق العلمي، للشرح والمتن، وقد حوى هذا الشرح تحقيقات وتعليقات، واستدراكات وتنبيهات نفيسة، وتوجيهات واعتراضات وفوائد عديدة، لا يستغني عنها طلبة العلم في المدارس على امتداد العالم الإسلامي
