الصحابة في أفغانستان

al-Sahabah fi Afghanistan

محمد شريف راشد

2858

11046

The battalions of Islam advanced and clashed with the disbelievers at al-Qādisiyyah and Nahāwand during the reign of ʿUmar al-Fārūq, breaking their power, while the foremost battlefront reached the borders of the lands of Afghanistan.

Then, during the reign of ʿUthmān, the Muslim army advanced as far as Kabul. Finally, the last of the Sasanian kings returned defeated to the city of Marw, where he was killed after his return at the hands of the governor of Marw, Māhawayh al-Sūrī al-Afghānī. Thus ended the Sasanian Empire in the East, and the Islamic state took its place.

The pages of this book contain the stories of those heroic Companions who travelled throughout the lands of Afghanistan and spread faith, truthfulness, and sincerity in those regions. It brings together biographies of approximately forty noble Companions who believed in the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and then settled in the lands of Afghanistan as callers to Islam, warriors, and conquerors.
