Lubab al-Tafasir

Printed recently for the first time, this huge tafsir is by an Imam in Qira'at who passed away around 500 AH. It is described as

وهو تفسيرٌ لغوي اشتقاقيٌّ تأصيليٌّ، وهو موسوعةٌ لزخمٍ من الروايات ومعاني القراءات، وقد جمع فيه العلامةُ تاجُ القراء بين التفسير بالمأثور والتفسير بالرأي، وضمَّنه توجيهات تربوية إيمانية، ولطائف بيانيَّة بلاغيَّة.

"It is a linguistic, etymological, and philologically grounded commentary, and an encyclopaedic repository of a wealth of narrations and the meanings of the variant Qur’anic readings.

In it, the eminent scholar known as Tāj al-Qurrāʾ combines exegesis based on transmitted reports with exegesis based on scholarly reasoning, while also incorporating spiritual and educational guidance and subtle points of rhetoric and eloquence."
