Othman Ibn Affan (R.A.A.) was the third orthodox caliph and is also known as "Thul- Nourain" which means "the owner of two lights". He was the son-in- law of the Messenger and Prophet of Allah (S.A.W.) who described Othman as "a shy man in front of whom the angels feel shy".
Othman achieved many distinctions in Islam, and the most important was that he equipped the O'sra Army for the Muslims. Allah (S.W.T.) said, "Who followed him in the hour of O'sra (Distress) ... " When the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) accepted Othman's tremendous gesture of support for the army of O'sra, he said, "Nothing will harm Othman after today." Then he added, "The one who has equipped the army of O'sra will be one of the inhabitants of Paradise."
Othman was known for his generosity and piety. He was not very outspoken, but his few words were always very meaningful. His leniency and tolerance were two great virtues, but they were also two characteristics that the insurgents took advantage of so that turned things very bad for him. Othman was the victim of those seeking power and revenge. He was pious, lenient and tolerant, but they were eager to ruin the very state of affairs !!! Let events reveal facts. It is a real drama filled with plots, fear and blood on the one side and telling lessons on the other.
