Sh Hatim al-Awni's recent book.

He seems to have decided to give a synopsis of the book in the title, thus the full title reads:

الاستواء معلوم والكيف مجهول: تقرير لتفويض المعنى لا لإثباته عند أكثر من تسعين إماما مخالفين لابن تيمية، فكيف تم تحريف دلالتها؟

A study arguing that the statement "Al-Istiwa Ma'lum wa al-Kayf Majhul" supports the delegation (tafwīḍ) of the meaning, not its affirmation, according to more than ninety imams who disagreed with Ibn Taymiyyah. How, then, was its indication distorted?

He describes the book saying:

وهو نقاش علمي صريح ملتزم بآداب النقاش العلمي لهذه القضية التي طالما فرقت المسلمين، لأبيّن سبيل الأُلفة فيها، وسبيل الفُرقة محذرًا منه.
وقد ذكرت ثلاثة وثلاثين إماما مالكيا فهموا عبارة الإمام مالك على الصواب المخالف لابن تيمية، وبقية الأئمة بما يتجاوز التسعين منهم كلهم يخالفونه.
بل بينت اللفظ الأصح عن الإمام مالك في جوابه عن الاستواء، وبينت أنه لفظ لا علاقة له بإثبات المعنى عند مدعي إثباته

Translation: "It is a candid scholarly discussion that adheres to the etiquette of academic debate concerning this issue, which has long divided the Muslims, in order to clarify the path to harmony in it, and the path to division, while warning against it.

I have mentioned thirty-three Maliki imams who understood Imam Malik's statement in the correct manner, contrary to Ibn Taymiyyah, and the remaining imams—numbering more than ninety—all disagreed with him.

Indeed, I have also clarified the most authentic wording reported from Imam Malik in his response regarding istiwāʾ, and have shown that this wording has no connection to affirming the meaning according to those who claim to affirm it.."
