This is a highly-rated classical work in Qawaid. al-Ghazzi praises it saying:

“He authored ...a large and valuable book on analogous questions in jurisprudence. This is the work commonly known as al-Qawāʿid. It is a precious and eminent book, demonstrating great merit and extensive learning. Whenever I consult it, my affection for it only increases.
