A project very close to our hearts; great effort was put in together with the author, Shaykh Yusuf Lorgat, to compose this comprehensive, unique and in-depth biography in the Arabic language of our late Shaykh, the honourable respected Ḥaḍrat Shaykh Yusuf Motala رحمه الله.

This unique publication also features a piece on the history of Madrasah Uloom Ash Shar’iyyah of Madinah Munawwarah and the connection it had with Ḥaḍrat Shaykh Al Ḥadīth Maulānā Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhlawi RA and his final days therein.

Shaykh Muḥammad Wāʾil al-Ḥanbalī says in his foreword to the book: "Several features of this book impressed me. Among them are its historical and scholarly introduction to some of the Islamic seminaries from which leading scholars of the Indian subcontinent graduated; its introduction to many of the scholars and prominent figures mentioned in the book; and the inclusion of photographs of many of the places and seminaries referred to throughout the biography. This transports the reader’s feelings and imagination to those places and landmarks, particularly in the case of those who have never visited those lands.

Another feature is the precise description of the scholarly institution Maẓāhir ʿUlūm, in which Shaykh Yūsuf grew up and from which he graduated. It is a seminary founded upon knowledge and spiritual training, grounded in practice and daʿwah, in which the student is nurtured upon good character and spiritual striving."
