While many ulama might have come across this new book, most seem unaware that this work was authored due to the situation of the ulama in South Africa.
Mawlana Muhammad Jeena Sahib of Kimberly is one of the respected and senior ulama of our country. This book, is authored by his son, Mufti Ayub Jeena, who has settled in Madinah Munawwwarah.
Mufti Ayub authored this work in order to help the ulama of South Africa navigate their differences, when he saw his respected father crying tears of pain at the sad situation of the ulama of this country.
The book is filled with valuable advice on etiquette of disagreement, while also allowing us to brush up on our Arabic vocab and poetry.
The foreword to the book is by Mufti Muhammad Saeed Motara sahib, who emphasises the importance of this book in our times.
Here is the publisher’s description of the book:
“Uniting the ranks of monotheists in the service of the religion of the Lord of the Worlds."
by Mufti Ayub ibn Maulana Muhammad Ebrahim Jeena Daamat Barakaatuhum
An exquisite work of poetry, a perfect substitute for Arabic primers, and a must for every student of Deen.
This comprehensive poem delves into the etiquette of disagreement, condemning discord, while shedding light on its causes, methods of avoidance and treatment, and outlining an approach for interacting with all segments of society, from scholars and dignitaries to ordinary individuals and those with undesirable traits, particularly in instances of differing opinions.
To complement the poem, a comprehensive commentary titled:
تَقْطِيفُ قُطُوفِ الطَّالِبِينَ مِنْ تَوْحِيدِ صُفُوفِ الْمُوَحَدِينَ
"Gathering the Fruits of Seekers for the Unification of the Ranks of the Believers"
has been provided. This companion piece ensures a thorough understanding of the text by explaining difficult terminology, clarifying ambiguities, and illuminating hidden gems of wisdom. It achieves this by drawing upon relevant verses from the Glorious Qur’aan, teachings of Nabi Muhammad Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam, and sayings of the pious predecessors.
Presented in the highest quality of Beirut prints, hardcover, coloured, 150 pages though small in size, Shamwa pages, this work serves as a cornerstone for educational and intellectual curricula, due to its adherence to accurate transmission and judicious selection.”
