All branches of knowledge are the product of human thought, and it is evident that when a person thinks, he may arrive at conclusions that are correct and acceptable, or he may reach conclusions that are mistaken and unacceptable. Human reasoning is therefore, by its very nature, liable to both correctness and error.

Logic is not something remote from our daily lives; rather, it accompanies us in every aspect of them. Among the most famous works composed on the science of logic is the primer Īsāghūjī, authored by the eminent scholar Athīr al-Dīn al-Abharī.

This is valuable and authoritative commentary in which the author, Shaykh al-Islam Zakariya al-Ansari explains the wording of the original text (Isagoji), clarifies its intended meanings, resolves its difficult passages, and qualifies its general statements in a clear and elegant manner.

ان جميع العلوم هي نتاج التفكير الانساني، و من الواضح ايضاً ان الانسان حينما يفكر قد يهتدي الى نتائج صحيحة و مقبولة، و قد ينتهي الى نتائج خاطئة و غير مقبولة ... فالتفكير الانساني معرض بطبيعته للصواب و الخطأ. و المنطق ليس غريباً في حياتنا اليومية فهو ملازمٌ لها في كل تفاصيلها. و من أشهر ما صنف في علم المنطق هو -متن ايساغوجي- الذي الفه الشيخ العلامة أثير الدين الأبهري.
