al-Nihayah fi al-Fitan wa-al-Malahim

This is a beautiful edition of Ibn Kathir's detailed work on the Sign of Qiyamah. The editors included interesting flowcharts, as well as takhrij of the ahadith.

Belief in the Last Day and the events associated with it is one of the fundamental doctrines of Islam. All of the prophets and messengers called to belief in it, and Islam accords it such importance that it is counted among the six pillars of faith.

The Prophet ﷺ described the signs and portents of the Hour in numerous hadiths so that believers might remain vigilant and ever alert. Whoever reflects upon these narrations will find that some of these signs have already come to pass, while others are unfolding before our eyes, particularly in the condition of the Muslim community. This only increases the believer in faith and certainty regarding the truthfulness of the Noble Prophet ﷺ.

It is therefore essential to disseminate these hadiths in order to awaken people from heedlessness and encourage their return to guidance and sound judgement.

This volume constitutes the final part of Ibn Kathīr's renowned work Al-Bidāyah wa al-Nihāyah.

يعتبر الإيمان باليوم الآخر وما يتبعه من القضايا الأساسية في العقيدة، فلقد دعا جميع الأنبياء والرسل إليه، واهتم به الإسلام اهتمامًا بالغاً حتى جعله أحد الأركان الستة.
وقد بيّن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم العلامات والأشراط للساعة في أحاديث كثيرة للحذر التام والتيقظ الدائم، والمتأمل لما ورد يجد أن قسمًا منها مضى، وآخر يحدث في الواقع لا سيما في أحوال المسلمين، فيزاد المؤمن إيمانًا ويقينًا بهذا النبي الكريم.
فمن الواجب نشرهذه الأحاديث ليقظة الناس من غفلتهم، وعودتهم إلى الصحوة والرشد.
وهذا الكتاب هو الجزء الأخير من "البداية والنهاية" لابن كثير رحمه الله.
