Sharh Kitab al-Tahbir fi 'Ilm al-Tafsir

A book on the science of Qur’anic exegesis in which the ḥadīth master Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī examines the principles, discussions, and various categories of this science, such as the Makkan and Madinan revelations, those revealed by day and by night, the first and last revelations, mutawātir and solitary transmissions, anomalous readings, detailed and general passages, and other important subjects and topics relating to Qur’anic exegesis.

This book is regarded as the second work to have been written in this field and as one of its most important and systematically arranged works.

This valuable commentary on Al-Taḥbīr is presented by Dr. Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Sharīf, with the editorial care of Dr. Kāmilah al-Kawārī.
