espite the importance of Imam Muhammad's Muatta and the fact that it is taught in thousands of institutes, there hasn't been a good muhaqqaq edition of it available previously.
Sh Safwan Dawudi selected four of the best manuscripts for editing this edition, with ten others used as backup to check difficult passages.

He found many words missing in all the printed editions of the book and even added on two ahadith missing in previous editions! He then corrected many errors found in previous editions, some which even changed the meaning.

He also added valuable fawaid in his dirasah as well as beneficial footnotes, including pointing out every mas'alah wherein Imam Muhammad differed with Imam Malik.
