Tafsir al-Jalalayn is one of the most popular tafsir works, printed dozens of times, with a number of commentaries authored on it.
Inspite of the large number of editions available, there aren’t any really good critical editions available of the book, resulting in Dar al-Lubab getting Sh Fakhr ad-Din Qabawah to prepare this muhaqqaq edition.

Sh Fakhr ad-Din is over 90 years old and has spent over 40 years with Tafsir al-Jalalayn, carefully studying it, teaching it, commentating on it and unravelling its secrets.
He prepared this edition relying on the best manuscripts, as well as old editions and commentaries of the book and also ensuring that the correct qira’ah was used, as the authors didn’t stick to one riwayah throughout the book, rather used Abu Amr al-Basri’s riwayah in most places, but selected others at times.
His careful study of the book allowed him to correct many errors and understand passages that the others who commentated on the book didn’t grasp correctly.
This tahqiq of Jalalayn was originally printed with the Dar al-Lubab’s edition of al-Jamalayn of Mulla Ali al-Qari, which is available on our list under number 280.

They then decided that the book requires more khidmah, thus this edition was prepared, wherein takhrij was provided of the ahadith and aqwal of mufassirin, in addition to Asbab al-Nuzul and other fawaid being presented in the footnotes.

The end result is this beneficial edition, that could be the most accurate copy available of this important work.
