While Sharh an-Nukhbah is the major Mustalah al-Hadith work taught in our madaris, it is way too advanced for beginners.
Sufficing on a simple work like Khayr al-Usul before jumping to it, is just not suitable, as the gap is way too large.

Our students need an authoritative, well-written work, that explains these complex terms in really simple language in order for them to properly understand the field, before advancing to a work like Sharh an-Nukhbah.

This work by the master of Halab, Sh Abdullah Siraj ad-Din, is perfect.

His target audience when authoring it was the students he was teaching at the time, who were beginners to this field, thus he adopted language suited to them, attempting to simplify these concepts, so that they could easily understand them.

While it might seem a bit long for beginners, the flowing, easy-language adopted through the book makes it possible to cover large amounts in a short period of time.

While it is really a stand-alone text, the author connected it to al-Manzumah al-Bayquniyyah, so that students could memorise this short and beneficial manzumah and study this work at the same time.

This is a beautiful mulawwan edition.
