Ali ibn Abi Talib:the fourth caliph

This is the biography of the Commander of the Believers and
the fourth orthodox caliph, Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (R.A.A.). He was the cousin of
the Messenger of Allah, his foster son and his son-in-law. He was the father of
the two pious sons, Al-Hassan and Al-Hussein. He was the first one to embrace
Islam and the most faithful example. He was a foremost man of religion, one of
the most courageous and a holy war fighter. He was the Imam of the pious, the example
of the ascetics, the greatest spokesman and the hardest working scholar. He
fought for the victory of Islam from an early age until his death. He took part
in all battles, raised the Muslim banners and did well; he was true and honourable.
He fought the polytheists and defeated his enemies. His reputation was a torch
of guidance, faith and loyalty until the end. Muslims have greatly longed for a
sufficient and good biography that covers his life and the caliphate including his
efforts, virtues, speeches, sayings and wisdoms: a biography that would be
without boring deliberations or distorting summarizations.
