There are certain amazing works, that are very common and well-known amongst the ulama of certain areas, while ulama of other areas just don’t seem to be aware of the huge benefits in them. Ibn al-Muflih’s al-Adab as-Shar’iyyah seems to be one such work. It is relatively unknown in our circles, yet found in the personal library of most ulama in the Gulf.

It covers a wide range of subjects and in addition to etiquette, it is filled with ahkam, ahadith, incidents of the salaf, valuable nuqul and tons of fawaid.
Open up any volume and I could guarantee that you would find interesting discussions you haven’t come across elsewhere.

For example, under the discussion on salam, you would find the author discussing various rulings such as greeting kuffar, greeting those engaged in various actions, then also discussing certain ahadith and ayat covering salam and explaining their correct meaning, in addition to a range of other discussions including whether saying the equivalent of “Good Morning” could substitute salam and whether it is permissible to suffice on this. He brings a number of ahadith and athar under this discussion.

His discussions on many topics, like tawbah etc, are filled with enough material for an amazing bayan.

This is a book, that studying it wouldn’t only supply you with content to use in bayans, but would really enlighten and increase you both in ilm and adab.
