While Asbab an-Nuzul are integral to proper understanding of many ayat, anyone using the books authored on them would have noticed deficiencies in them all.

Wahidi’s isn’t comprehensive enough, becomes too lengthy due to asanid and contains a large number of problematic narrations.
Ibn Hajar’s is incomplete.
Suyuti’s while being very comprehensive, is filled with problematic narrations, many in books unavailable to us today.

The author of this book gathered the narrations found in these 3 books in addition to 3 other contemporary books on the topic.
He then added short kalam on the asanid of most of these narrations.
