السراج الوهاج شرح مختصر القدوري

Most commentaries on Mukhtasar al-Quduri are generally concise, focusing on provided the dalil or illah for each mas’alah, with a little additional explanation. The larger commentaries on the book, like al-Mudmarat and al-Mujtaba, focus on provided connected furu’, which makes them of great benefit to the muftis, but of very little benefit to those teaching the book.

The only previously available commentary that would focus on explaining the mas’alah and text well was al-Jawharah an-Nayyirah of al-Haddadi. It is a mukhtasar of his much longer and detailed sharh, which has now been published.

This huge sharh is in 13 volumes. The author covers every aspect, including sharh of the text, explanation of the ruling, occasionally provided the surah of the mas’alah, providing dalil and illah, ikhtilaf both within and outside the madhab, with the dalil/reason for each view and tashih even provided at times.
He brings a large number of connected furu’ as well, resulting in the book being of great value to both those teaching/studying the book as well as those involved in ifta and research.

Printed recently for the first time, this beautiful, high-quality edition was edited using 15 manuscripts.
