Most madaris teach Nur al-Idah, as it is one of the best primers in ibadat.
While the author’s own sharh, Imdad al-Fattah, is good, the really popular book is Tahtawi's gloss on Shurunbulali's Maraqi al-Falah.
He explains difficult portions of the text, discusses ilal and points out the rajih. An additional feature is that it is one of the few works wherein the author attempts to pinpoint exactly which type of karahah is meant each time it is mentioned.

Sadly, there hasn't been a muhaqqaq edition of it available previously.
This edition, in addition to being edited using multiple manuscripts, also includes beneficial footnotes and diagrams.
The beautiful multi-coloured high-quality printing is the cherry on top.
