حقيبة شروح الفقه النافع

When using commentaries in Hanafi Fiqh, it becomes clear that the focus in most works is on discussing the various views present (both within the madhab and between madhahib), the dalil of each side and tarjih of one view.
Some focus more on the illah behind the mas’alah, while others focus more on related furu’, making these of benefit of those involved in ifta.

There is a small percentage of shuruh that focus on helping the reader to understand and properly grasp each mas’alah.
From these, only a few focus on application of usul al-fiqh and bring easy to understand, yet integral explanations of how a certain mas’alah fits or doesn’t fit under a certain usul.
And then there are just a handful of works that focus on mentioning the qawaid/usul that each chapter is based on and ensure that one perfectly grasps masail through understanding the qawaid they are connected to.

This amazing collection of shuruh somehow manages to contain rare shuruh that do all this and more!

The matn here is al-Fiqh al-Nafi, by Nasir ad-Din as-Samarqandi d.556ah. It stands out for being a much easier read than most other mutun, in addition to being of the few mutun that mention adillah.

The following are the shuruh on this book found in this collection:

1- الهادي للبادي في كشف مُشكلات النّافع-

By an alim of the 7th century, now printed for the first time, it is a short ta’liq, filled with fawaid.

2- شرح النافع لحميد الدين الضرير-

By a master Usuli who passed away in 666ah, this is also printed for the first time. Dictated by the blind author, this is filled with questions and replies, mainly connected to usul, ilal and understanding the mas’alah holistically. A very valuable work, it was printed using the only known manuscript in the world!

3- المنافع في فوائد النافع-

By Ahmad an-Nasafi, this sharh stands out for the manner in which the author explains the mas’alah, allowing one to perfectly understand what it is based on and why. Also printed for the first time, using the only existent manuscript!

4- المستصفى-

By Hafiz ad-Din an-Nasafi, this is highly-praised work, that inspite of being concise, is amongst the best works for understanding a chapter properly. He starts of many chapters by listing the asl or usul that the chapter is based upon and at times does this for specific masa’il, showing how they are really based on an asl. The book is filled with fawaid. Printed once previously, this is a muhaqqaq edition edited using multiple manuscripts.

Each of these shuruh are expertly edited, with detailed takhrij of the ahadith, nuqul etc.

I had to go into all this detail, as these amazing books are now available for the first time, yet we are deprived of benefiting from them due to them being unknown to most ulama and muftis.
