Amongst the original hadith works that focus on collecting, with asanid, the various a’mal and duas to be practiced on throughout the day, Ibn as-Sunni’s Amal al-Yawm wa al-Layla is amongst the most famous.

Despite it containing a large number of ahadith not found in other works and its importance, there hasn't been a single expertly-edited edition of it. Most editions not only contain errors in asanid, but also errors in the words of the hadith, with extra words being added to certain narrations and words missing from others.

A famous example is the phrase
والدرجة الرفيعة
added to the famous dua after adhan, as found in some prints of this book!

The muhaqqiq of this edition edited it using 8 manuscripts and shows how none of the previous editions used old reliable manuscripts, resulting in many errors, missing words etc.
His takhrij of the ahadith is really detailed, especially is focus on identifying each narrator correctly and discussed his level followed by the status of the narration.
