Sirat al-'Allamah Nur al-Din 'Itr

This is a useful and beneficial book recounting the life of a rare and exceptional man, and one of the leading figures of Islam in this age, in whom were combined praiseworthy qualities and noble characteristics that are rarely found together in one person.

His son, Shaykh Yaḥyā Nūr al-Dīn ʿItr, has highlighted various aspects of his brilliance and distinction—an important undertaking and a necessary objective, so that students of knowledge may become acquainted with his life, take him as an example, and follow his path, moulding themselves upon his model and striving to approximate his example.

هذَا كتابٌ مفيدٌ نافعٌ، يحكي حياةَ رجلٍ من نوادرِ الرجالِ، وعَلَمٍ من أعلامِ الإسلامِ في هذا الزمانِ، اجتمعَ فيهِ منَ الصفاتِ الحميدةِ والخصالِ المجيدةِ ما يَندُر اجتماعُه في الرجال أظهر فيها ابنه الشيخ يحيى نور الدين عتر جوانبَ نبوغِه وتميُّزِهِ أمرٌ مهمٌ، ومطلبٌ ضروريٌ، لكي يطَّلِعَ عليهِ طلاب العلمِ، فيقتدُوا بهِ، ويسيرُوا على نهجِهِ؛ ليصنعُوا أنفسهُم على منوالِهِ، ويكونُوا قريبينَ من مثالِهِ
