The ulama of Sindh were well-known for their huge libraries and their extensive mutala, that resulted in them having knowledge of many furu’ in fiqh that others were unaware of.

Two ulama from them, stand out for this.
Allamah Muhammad Abid Sindhi, known for his huge Tawali’ al-Anwar.
The other was senior to him and author of a number of works.
He is Allamah Muhammad Hashim At-Tattawi as-Sindhi (d.1174 ah)

To give you an idea of his mutala, at the beginning of this book, he lists the books he referred to when authoring this book.
This is a book in just one -albeit thick- volume, however the author lists hundreds of masadir in different fields that he consulted. The list of books, with a brief explanation of each by the muhaqqiq, covers 80 pages! Many of these are in manuscript form today, while others are completely lost!

The result of this huge effort in authoring this book is that this is the best and most comprehensive book authored on the masail of fasting in the Hanafi madhab. It is filled with furu’ not found in common works.
It covers everything related to fasting, including moonsighting, I’tikaf etc.

It has been edited using multiple manuscripts, with the muhaqqiq attempting to trace every quote back to the source.
Filled with fawaid, it is a must for every mufti, ifta student and research scholar.
