Al Bukhari is Mohammad Ibn Isma'el
Ibn Ibrahim Ibn Al'mogheera Al'bukhari Al'ja'fi, Abu Abdallah 810-870A.D.
(194-256h). He was born in Bukhara. He was orphan from an early age when his
father died. Al Bukhari's sight was lost when he was still young. But his
mother had a dream in which The Prophet Abraham, Allah's bosom friend, came and
told her: "O, woman! Your son's sight has been restored to him once again
as a result of your increasingly supplication to Allah for him." He, of
course, meant the sight of religious knowledge. He was granted by Allah the
gift of keeping the traditions (Hadith) of The Prophet since the very early
years of his life. He devoted himself for work and worship. However, he was as
so much shy, brave, generous and pious. Al Bukhari was granted an outstanding
memory since he was at his very early age. People agree that all the traditions
within Al Bukhari's Sahih are true and correct. There is no single tradition
far from this degree of truthfulness. It is well-known that Al Bukhari's
composition consists of more than eight thousand traditions. But in view of the
fact that he often comes with the single tradition more than once in different
locations of his composition, it would be of no more than two thousand and two hundred
traditions. The single tradition might come in a certain book for some
quotation of something, but this does not mean that it could occur once again
in another book within the composition in order to be used as a proof of a
different case or question. This was that led Al Bukhari to repeat the most
traditions in his composition. The real effort made by Az Zabidi. (The composer
of the book in hand) was that he tried his best to relegate these repetitions
and come only with every single tradition once in his Tajrid, as he himself
stated in his introductory. In This translation, I tried to deal with the
subtitles in each book of Az Zabidi's composition to be more fitting for the
traditions involved in them.
