Abridged Siratul Mustafa

According to some Ulama, this is the masterpiece of all the literary works of Hadhrat Moulana Idrees Kaandhlawi. It stands out like a shining star and enjoys the most acceptance from all the writings of Hadhrat Moulana.

No Seerah book compares to the greatness of Seeratul Mustafa when it comes to the depth of research and having the original sources as the foundation. Hadhrat Moulana Idrees has made clear what the feelings and ambitions of a true Muslim should be with regards to Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم

It was the desire of Moulana Idrees Saahib Seerah work that will serve to bring out the authentic narrations of the life of Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم . Hadhrat Moulana has, through this work of his preserved the noble lifestyle of Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم

By the grace of Allah Ta'ala this book has now been translated into English in three volumes by the Ulama of Madrasah Arabia Islamia. Azaadville.

Many Madaaris and makaatib have been contemplating including this book into the curriculum. However since the book is quite voluminous, (each of the three volumes consists of approximately 600 pages) including it in the curriculum of the Makaatib in its current form was difficult. Hence a need arose to abridge the original text into one volume thus making it easier for the public as well as students to benefit from it.

The Jamiatul Ulama (KZN) Talimi Board took up the task, with the grace and mercy of Allah Ta'ala, to abridge the present book. Focusing more on the life of our beloved Nabi and omitting the scholarly discussions of various issues that are derived from the noble seerah. This would Insha-Allah make it easier to be used as a text book in the Madaaris as well as a handy reference book for the general public on
