Admonition For The Neglectful:Tanbih al-Ghafilin

This book of Imam Faqih Abul Layth Samarqandi, Tanbihul Ghafileen
is in your hands. It is made up of two parts and consists of pithy counsel,
quotations from Qur'an and Hadith, examples from lives of the Sahabah and their
successors and the men of Allah. It has been well received by the ulama and now
its English translation is presented to the readers. It is a great honour for
us that we have been able to publish this book. About 12 years ago, a member of
the Da'wah, Dr. Muhsin, presently in Baltimore USA, had consented to translate
it and he began the task. However, because his engagement with Da'wah mission,
he could not complete it. Recently, our honourable friend Mufti Afzal Husain
Elias translated some portion of it. Because it was incomplete, full benefit could
not be derived from it. With the permission of the respected Mufti, we have
published some more books and they have gained acclaim. Our translation of this
book is complete and we received great help from the translation of Mufti
Elias. Hence, we are grateful to him. We have included the Arabic text of the
Qur'an and A hadith. A glossary and an index are appended. These things make
the book more useful. May Allah approve our effort and enable us to publish it
